During the maintenance of the sealing device of the slag oil pump, due to the lack of maintenance theory and experience of the maintenance personnel, there are often many misunderstandings, which not only affect the improvement of the maintenance level, but also have a relatively adverse impact on the stable production and normal operation of the enterprise. For example, some maintenance personnel believe that tightening the sealing rings of the dynamic and static rings of the slag oil pump will greatly improve the stability performance of the mechanical seal device; Some people also believe that the greater the compression of the spring in the slag oil pump, the better its sealing performance will be. These erroneous maintenance concepts are often the reasons for poor performance of mechanical seal devices, so attention should be paid to them.

1、 The tighter the static ring seal, the better

The static ring seal is basically in a static state. Excessive deformation of the relatively tight sealing ring affects the sealing effect; The material of the static ring is mostly graphite, which is generally brittle and prone to cracking under excessive stress; Difficulty in installation and disassembly can easily damage the static ring.

2、 The greater the compression of the spring, the better the sealing effect

Excessive compression of the spring can cause rapid wear and instant burning of the friction pair; Excessive compression of the spring results in the loss of the ability to adjust the end face of the moving ring, leading to seal failure.

Pre installation inspection of slag oil pump

To achieve the sealing effect of the slag oil pump, relevant inspection work needs to be done before installing the mechanical sealing device of the chemical pump. It is necessary to conduct a thorough inspection of the friction end face of the dynamic and static rings of the slag oil pump, as this is the key to the performance of the mechanical seal device of the slag oil pump. When inspecting the dynamic and static rings of the slag oil pump before installation, the staff can use a caliper to measure the end face of the dynamic and static rings to see if they meet the corresponding size standards and if the surface flatness is uniform. Under normal circumstances, the surface flatness of the standard dynamic and static ring end face shaft or shaft sleeve should be kept below 0.32Lm, and various sealing components should be cleaned and carefully inspected for their condition. Once the friction end face of the slag oil pump is found to be damaged or uneven, it should be replaced and repaired in a timely manner.

Ways to improve the operational performance of slag oil pump

1、 Conduct acceptance management of chemical slag oil pumps according to prescribed standards

The requirements for chemical slag oil pump equipment are quite good, with considerable complexity in installation. The installation of this equipment is a key link in the normal operation of the entire chemical system, and requires high quality. From a specific perspective, the size and position of the foundation of the slag oil pump equipment must meet the requirements of the plan, and the position accuracy of the positioning anchor bolts must be accurately determined. In short, the chemical slag oil pump equipment has a direct impact on the operation of the entire system, and the acceptance process is quite complex, including many processes and procedures. Generally speaking, the supervisory unit should organize various personnel to carry out construction and conduct acceptance and management of each installation process, ensuring that its appearance and dimensions meet the requirements for use.

2、 Develop a management plan for the normal operation of the slag oil pump

In the specific production process, multiple slag oil pump equipment are currently installed in the normal production of petrochemical units in China. In order to improve the system operation and stability, it is necessary to develop practical and feasible management systems according to the actual needs of the project, so as to enhance the economic benefits of the enterprise. Enterprises should strictly develop the correct operation and management plan for slag oil pumps according to the prescribed needs in equipment management, and develop practical and feasible supporting management facilities. In the implementation of the management plan, production quality standards, slag oil pump equipment standards, and slag oil pump equipment operation specifications should be formulated as needed, so that technical personnel can carry out their work according to the prescribed requirements.

3、 Basic operational work meets the requirements

Because chemical production is carried out under normal conditions, it generally needs to be affected by high temperature and high pressure during normal use. In addition, there are many problems with the slag oil pump. Therefore, in the acceptance process of the slag oil pump equipment, it is necessary to check whether it can operate normally, whether the installation quality meets the standards, and effectively improve the performance and stability of operation.

Slag oil pump is a type of positive displacement pump, which has the advantage of low flow rate and high head compared to centrifugal pump (water pump). It can transport high viscosity media, such as asphalt, polyurethane, heavy oil, etc. Gear oil pump can be used for transportation. Special note: Generally, transporting asphalt requires heating the oil with a heat transfer oil pump, and then heating the asphalt. And the water pump can only transport clean water and sewage. There are slag oil pumps everywhere in life and work.

After the selection of the slag oil pump, the normal use situation is determined. The selection is mainly based on the data of the medium, operating parameters, and working environment. Below is a detailed introduction to the data acquisition:

1、 Operating parameters: mainly considering flow rate or flow range, pressure, continuous or intermittent operation;

2、 Transport medium: mainly including medium name, corrosiveness, abrasiveness, viscosity, solid content, and working temperature;

3、 Installation environment: The operating environment mainly includes the installation method and other environmental requirements. The installation method is directly affected by the installation size and can be divided into horizontal or vertical, fixed or mobile. Requirements for connecting pipelines, protection level requirements, etc.

The wear of the slag oil pump housing is mainly caused by the wear of the floating shaft sleeve hole (the normal wear of the gear shaft and shaft sleeve is 0.09~0.175mm, and the maximum wear should not exceed 0.20mm). Gear operation is affected by pressure oil, and the gear tip is close to the oil pump housing, causing wear on the low-pressure chamber of the pump body. Another type of wear is the circular wear of the working surface inside the slag oil pump housing, which is mainly caused by the incomplete addition of oil, so add oil without impurities.

The wear of internal parts of the slag oil pump can cause internal leakage. The leakage area between the floating shaft sleeve and the gear end face is large, which is the main part causing internal leakage. This part of the leakage accounts for about 50% to 70% of the total internal leakage. The volumetric rate of the slag oil pump with wear and leakage decreases, and the output power of the slag oil pump is lower than the input power. All of its losses are converted into heat energy, which can cause the oil pump to overheat. If the bonding plane is pressed tightly, the floating shaft sleeve may experience slight movement during operation, causing wear and resulting in slow or impossible lifting. Such a floating shaft sleeve should be replaced or repaired.
