Analysis of the selection of rotational speed for screw pumps

Screw pumps are mostly used to transport liquids with high viscosity and liquids containing particles, so the choice of rotation speed is crucial. The flow rate and speed of a screw pump are linearly related. For both low-speed and high-speed screw pumps, the flow rate and head can be increased, but the power is significantly increased. High speed accelerates the wear between the rotor and stator, causing premature failure of the screw pump. Moreover, the length of the stator and rotor of a high-speed screw pump is very short, which is prone to wear and tear, thus shortening the service life of the screw pump. When the specifications of the screw pump are large, the speed should be selected to be lower.
