The YHB-LY series vertical circular arc gear pump relies on a pair of double circular arc toothed gears to mesh and rotate, and uses the alternating volume of the cavity between the teeth to complete the suction and discharge of liquid medium. The pump head is vertically connected to the motor and arranged vertically as a whole, suitable for installation environments with limited space. It is often used for lubrication and oil supply conditions in lubrication stations and power units.
The main components of the equipment include the pump body, pump cover, vertical spindle, driven shaft, double arc gear, balance bearing assembly, shaft end sealing assembly, and built-in overflow structure. The gears undergo heat treatment processing, resulting in continuous tooth meshing and minimal relative slip on the tooth surfaces. The pump chamber is equipped with a pressure balance channel to counteract the axial force generated during operation and reduce bearing wear. The shell can be made of cast iron or stainless steel materials; Insulation jacket can be configured for conveying easily solidified media; Copper gears can be selected for some working conditions. The moving parts rely on the self lubrication of the conveying medium, without the need for an independent lubrication system.
The power is driven by the vertical spindle to rotate the driving gear, and the driven gear rotates synchronously in the opposite direction. When the gear disengages from the meshing area, the cavity volume increases to form negative pressure, and the medium enters the tooth groove; The medium is transported to the oil pressure area with the gear, and the gear mesh compresses the cavity volume. The medium is compressed and transported outward, and the continuous circulation completes the medium transportation. The flow rate is linearly related to the rotational speed, and can be adjusted with a speed control mechanism to regulate the conveying flow rate. The equipment has basic self-priming ability and can be repeatedly started and stopped after the initial liquid filling.
The pump body is equipped with an overflow structure. When the pipeline is blocked or the valve is closed, causing a sudden increase in pressure, the medium flows back into the pump to relieve pressure and reduce the impact of high pressure on the components. This structure is only used for overload emergency protection and is not suitable for long-term stable voltage use. Systems that require constant pressure can be connected to external pressure regulating pipelines. The pump chamber flow channel is smooth with few dead corners, making it easy to rinse and clean.
The sealing type can be selected as packing seal or mechanical seal according to the temperature and degree of corrosion of the medium. The whole machine adopts a split structure, and during maintenance, the pump cover can be disassembled to replace the seals, inspect the gears and bearings, without the need to dismantle the pipelines as a whole. The pump body with insulation structure can transport low-temperature and easily solidified viscous media.
Suitable for liquid media without hard particles, fiber impurities, and lubricating properties, with a viscosity range of 5-1500mm ²/s. It can transport media such as lubricating oil, turbine oil, diesel, fuel oil, etc. Not suitable for strongly corrosive media, media containing a large amount of solid particles, and low flash point volatile media.
The equipment is fixed and installed by the bottom flange chassis, with the motor arranged vertically upwards and the inlet and outlet set laterally. Maintain the chassis level and transmission coaxiality during installation to reduce vibration wear. It is recommended to install a filtering device in the suction pipeline to prevent impurities from entering the pump chamber. Fill the pump chamber with medium before starting, and prohibit long-term idling. Models equipped with insulation jackets can preheat the chamber before transporting materials that are prone to solidification.
Daily maintenance work includes cleaning filters, checking for seal leaks, and observing equipment temperature rise and vibration. After conveying viscous media, use a suitable clean medium to circulate and rinse the chamber to avoid material drying and adhesion. Long term shutdown requires emptying the residual medium in the pump to reduce the risk of corrosion and material solidification.
Compared with the horizontal YHB-Y arc gear pump, the vertical structure occupies less horizontal space; Compared to conventional involute gear pumps, circular arc tooth shaped flow pulsation and low operating noise. This pump is often equipped with a forced lubrication oil supply system for equipment such as compressors, refrigeration units, and power station oil stations.
