Introduction to the working principle and cooling techniques of gear oil pump

Gear oil pump is a type of hot oil circulation pump or heat transfer pump used as a supporting pump on heat exchange equipment. The support of the gear oil pump adopts a double end ball bearing structure, with lubricating oil lubrication at the front end and grease lubrication at the rear end. There is a guide oil pipe in the middle to observe the sealing condition and recover the heat transfer oil at any time. Before using the gear oil pump, it is necessary to carefully inspect each component, remove the asbestos pads at the inlet and outlet, and check whether the pump rotates flexibly. Produce and use the gear oil pump according to the order specified in the factory manual, prepare the equipment before starting up, and carefully check the efficiency of the machine's operation. Prevent equipment malfunctions caused by minor errors.

The working principle of a gear oil pump is relatively simple, mainly transmitting energy through the action of longitudinal vortices. Before the gear oil pump starts working, the pump is filled with liquid, and then the gear oil pump is started, so that the impeller can roll. The blades of the impeller drive the liquid to roll, and the liquid will flow towards the outer edge of the impeller due to inertia. At the same time, the impeller sucks in liquid from the suction chamber. In this process, the liquid in the impeller flows around the blades, and the liquid acts on the blades with a lift force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to this lift force. This force does work on the liquid, causing the liquid energy to flow out of the impeller. At this time, both the kinetic energy and pressure energy of the liquid increase. Can be used according to the process and methods to create high efficiency in work. The high temperature of the gear oil pump can reach around 300 degrees, and it has the advantages of low noise, high flow rate, and low motor power.

Here are some cooling methods for gear oil pumps:

1. Gear oil pump metal bellows machine seal: easy to install, compact structure, and with the same auxiliary system, the service life is 1.5 to 3 times that of ordinary seals.

2. The friction pair of the gear oil pump is selected to be hard to hard, which has a good effect on media with high viscosity, a small amount of solid particles, or media with crystallization. Based on the above sealing structure, let's analyze the cooling of the following hot oil pump: the hot oil pump is equipped with a cooling water jacket around the sealing chamber, which is cooled by cold water and can reduce the temperature of the sealing chamber to 180-230 ℃; For single end sealing, injection flushing is used to introduce clean wax oil with a temperature of around 150 ℃ from the outside (usually diesel is not used because diesel is a finished product), which not only reduces the temperature but also improves the working environment. This is a feasible method; The outer side of the pressure cover adopts rapid cooling water; In addition to lowering the temperature, it can also prevent blockages in the sewer system.

3. Gear oil pump double end face seal: using external cooling and circulating flushing, the service life is 1.5 to 3 times that of a single end face.

4. Single end sealing of gear oil pump: using injection flushing, the flushing liquid is reduced line wax oil at around 150 ℃, with a pressure 0.05~0.15Mpa higher than the sealing chamber. The outer side of the cover is rapidly cooled with hot water. Generally, one cycle (ten months) can be used.

5. During normal use of the gear oil pump, cold water is circulated inside the pump bearing body, and a circulating water jacket is added inside the gear oil pump bearing body to reduce the temperature at the sealing position of the gear oil pump.

In recent years, due to the continuous increase in the price of cast steel raw materials for gear oil pumps, some informal private manufacturers have replaced cast iron impellers or ductile iron impellers on gear oil pumps with cast iron impellers in order to reduce production costs and increase profit margins. Due to the poor toughness and brittle material of pig iron impellers, there is a risk of explosion if the heat transfer oil pump encounters impurities or accidentally gets cold during normal operation. Therefore, we remind our customers and friends to strictly inspect and agree on the manufacturer before purchasing gear oil pumps to avoid accidents. Because gear oil pumps operate at high speeds under high temperature conditions, and most of them run continuously for 24 hours, there is a high level of attention paid to some common problems and hidden dangers that exist in the daily use of gear oil pumps to avoid accidents.

The thermal oil furnaces currently produced are generally equipped with two gear oil pumps, one for backup and one for use. In the daily production process, it is common to encounter the situation of alternating use of gear oil pumps. We remind everyone to wait until the standby pump is running normally before slowly opening the standby pump valve and closing the online pump outlet valve to 1/3. The online pump can only be turned off after the pressure and flow rate of the backup gear oil pump have stabilized. When starting the backup gear oil pump, the inlet and outlet valves need to be opened synchronously, otherwise, due to the increase in pressure of the gear oil pump, the outlet pipeline will not flow smoothly, which may cause high-level tank fuel injection accidents. Install the protective cover outside the gear oil pump coupling during installation. Many manufacturers simply do not install protective covers for temporary convenience during installation. Due to the fact that gear oil pumps are high-speed pumps and do not operate quickly, if the pump gets stuck, the coupling is easily broken, causing accidents.
